Description
SNAP-8 (acetyl glutamyl heptapeptide-3, also called acetyl octapeptide-3) is a synthetic eight-amino-acid peptide. It's an extended version of the well-known hexapeptide argireline, with two extra amino acids added to the chain.
SNAP-8 is modelled on part of the SNAP-25 protein, which helps nerve cells release signalling molecules. That's why it's studied in cosmetic research on muscle-contraction signalling and expression lines. Each Monark vial contains 10mg of lyophilized peptide, tested by an independent laboratory.

The peptide
What is SNAP-8?
SNAP-25 is a protein that helps nerve endings release the signals that make muscles contract. SNAP-8 is a short synthetic peptide modelled on one end of that protein.
Because it mimics part of SNAP-25, it's used in laboratory and cosmetic research on how that signalling process can be modulated.
